Always Humanize, Never Stigmatize

About

Hello and welcome! My name is Randy Thomas and I am an artist, blogger, speaker and social media and web consultant. Oh and I also happen to be an ordained minister as well.

A few years ago, in my former role as Executive Vice President of Exodus International, I started dabbling in the arts on the side. I was raised to believe that I was a stoic professional who loves math, filling out forms and gathering statistics. My artistic interest was cute, but not something to take seriously.

After hearing a message on how people receive and process information quite differently I realized that art wasn’t simply a cute hobby … it was oxygen for my soul. Having discovered and pursued my artistic abilities later in life (Yes, I was born in 1968 when we had to chase off the dinosaurs in order to watch television), creating art quickly became a source of great joy that grew into a passion to create and to encourage others as well. I’ve now incorporated ART by Randy Thomas and am heading up an Artist’s Lifegroup at my church, Grace Church Orlando, where we take time to appreciate and support each others creative expressions. My passion is to see God magnified and people edified through the various creative gifts in the community around us.

Like many, I live an online life and I’ve been blogging and building online communities for the past fifteen years. In my previous career, I traveled across the country and abroad speaking, writing and addressing topics related to sexuality, relationships and faith. I’ve contributed to several books and my own story of redemption has been featured in a full-page ad in The Los Angeles Times as well as Chuck Colson’s book The Good Life and in media outlets around the world. I am open about my faith in Jesus Christ and how he’s transformed the wounds of my past, my relationships, my identity and my heart since I first started my journey with him more than 19 years ago.

My goal is to use every last ounce of my creative energy and gifts to honor God and to encourage others. Drop me a line. I’d love to hear about your inspiration and your passion to create.
