A friend posted this article, The Suicide Epidemic by Tony Dokoupil, to her Facebook profile and strongly encouraged people to read it. I have quoted extensively from this substantive article, but please do not let that inhibit you from reading the entire article. There is so much more that Mr. Dokoupil includes in his article (including stories [...]
Over my vacation last week, I had been praying for encouragement and a reminder of God’s calling on my life. That or a revelation of where He might be leading me next. As always, because He is a faithful and wonderful Father, He has communicated quite a bit. One of the biggest encouragements was His reminding me of the dream, with crystal clarity, I had in 1995. The dream occurred the very night I asked my pastor at that time to pray for me to receive my calling and to know exactly what it is.
So, I am a little red after spending some time at the beach (New Smyrna Beach.) I used sunblock … of course it was only the “15″ and not the 50+ like they recommend. BUT I was under my beach umbrella most of the time. Whatever, at this rate this will be the most boring [...]
It’s an absolutely gorgeous day here in central Florida. Magnificent blue skies, the air is dry (I know… a miracle) and the temperature is JUST right. There is only one problem … there is sin in the air! Those awful, horrible, decadent, Love Bugs decided to kick-off their annual sky orgy today. I hope this [...]

I also spent some time reflecting on my time in ministry since moving to Florida and thought about the loss of Michael some more (still very painful at times.) Not sure any of today’s writing [...]
Anyone up for making a Pollen/Leaves Angel? I have extra Zyrtec and video camera …
This morning I went out to my pollen covered car and thought, “I smell spring.” It does smell like spring; fresh, pollen-y … plus some bird calls are around that I seem to only notice in the Spring and Fall. Anyway, I know we are forecast for another cool snap next week (cool for Florida [...]
Of course when I started praying I didn’t have any clue that it would end up here but I was never shocked by God’s “next step.” He never gives us more than we can handle. He deserves praise for that so give me an amen to that. Seriously, I want you to say Amen Jesus! to your computer. No one is watching but Him so … do it.
I got this message from a regular blog reader this past week. I have been slammed with work so please forgive the delayed response. But this hits a nerve for me and I wanted to blog it out. Here is the message. I have edited it to maintain the anonymity of the reader and the [...]
