Always Humanize, Never Stigmatize

Susan G. Komen is “Crushed” – My Wallet Is Closed

Won't Get Another Dime ...

Everyone is talking about how Planned Parenthood "crushed" The Komen Foundation via an online campaign. They succeeded in getting Komen to cave and start sending money their way again. Many are calling it a Social Media win. Jilly Stanek says this is a clear example of why it is important to have a social media strategy. I completely agree with that. That said, honestly, this situations looks more like online extortion by manipulating masses of people through social networking and the liberally biased media. It's an interesting new twist in the culture war where "friends" devour friends to make a name, or raise money, for themselves. … [Read more...]

Why I Voted for Mitt Romney

DSCN2312

Of the four remaining Republican candidates I have shaken the hands of three (Romney, Gingrich and Santorum), had brief conversations with two (Romney and Gingrich... Gingrich was very brief) and actually shared my testimony with one (Santorum.) Santorum is by far the most approachable of the three. Maybe it's because he actually had the time to have a conversation. I really liked the guy. The only reason I didn't vote for him is because I don't believe he could lead the entire country and would be eaten alive. If he were to be elected it might create four more years of DC political gridlock. Remember, I love the guy and am not saying that … [Read more...]

March For Life Numbers Woefully Misrepresented

Just take a look at this picture. Again, where was all the media coverage of this amazing event? From GetReligion (emphasis and linkage theirs): On Thursday, we looked at the rather shocking slideshow at the Washington CBS affiliate. It was headlined: Activists Hold Annual March For Life On Roe v. Wade Anniversary But it somehow hadn’t shown a single picture of an activist at the March for Life! Instead, it showed multiple pictures of the same handful of pro-choice protesters who protested the massive March for Life. First, we have an update. Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, three days after the March for Life, the folks at … [Read more...]

The March For Life 2012

Today is a big day among those of us who are pro-life. The March for Life occurred today. Millions of people spoke up for the unborn and how often did you see it mentioned in the news? Michelle Malkin has a great rundown of various mentions and statements.  Also, The Foundry (Heritage Foundation) has a heart breaking and provocative post Gendercide: The War Feminists Seeminly Refuse to Fight. Also, The Washington Post reports that large numbers of youth and young adults are joining the pro-life movement. Ever since becoming a Christian I have been solidly pro-life and will do what I can to support local pregnancy centers and the … [Read more...]

A Man Moved by God – My Personal Testimony

"Living Water" - One of My First Drawings

This testimony was originally written in 2007 for Boundless Magazine and republished on the Exodus Website. Wanted to bring it here to my blog as well. Hope you are blessed by it. --- A Man Moved By God by Randy Thomas Fifteen years ago (19 as of posting this on randythomas.co) I was a very different man from who I am now. All of my relational, political, and social needs were defined by a worldview that fed my appetites and met my needs, albeit just temporarily. My world was centered around the idea that the unholy trinity of me-myself-and-I was sufficient to provide vision, inspiration, answers … and even legacy. I … [Read more...]

Reflections on Speaking At Care Net – A Personally Redemptive Day

Yesterday I spoke at the Care Net National Pregnancy Center Conference. I presented a workshop called "The Good Gift of Sexuality." 88 people registered for the 90 minute session and I think it went really really well. I had a wonderful time during the presentation.  The room was very interactive and the discussions afterward were amazing. I am so honored and humbled to have been a part of this conference in this way. I have supported pro-life works since I first became a Christian over 19 years ago. However, before Christ's love for the unborn manifested in my heart, and before becoming a Christian, I was quite liberal and believed … [Read more...]
